Job Title: RED Rochester, LLC – Plant Project Manager
Reports To: Projects & Asset Optimization Manager
FLSA: Exempt
Pay Band: Exempt Band B or C

SUMMARY: This role is an important position on the RED-Rochester team that provides
management of a wide assortment of capital projects for RED-Rochester’s Utilities asset base.
The project manager works with various disciplines of engineering to develop and execute
capital projects to support the improvement and maintenance of RED-Rochester’s Power
Generation, Refrigeration, Service Distribution Water and Waster Treatment Systems at Eastman
Business Park in Rochester, NY.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
► Work with the RED-Rochester’s engineering, operations and maintenance teams to
develop and maintain a long-range strategic capital plan for the Eastman Business
Park’s Utilities Generation and Distribution assets

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
► Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred
► Experience in business development/manufacturing/energy generation/distribution
environment preferred.

Qualifications:
► Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in the engineering, construction and design of
power plants, cogeneration and/or other multi-disciplinary, energy-intensive
industrial processes
► Proficient in MS Office tools including MS Project
► Strong Background and knowledge of all disciplines
► Advanced skill in written and verbal communication
► Advanced Interpersonal Skills

► Project management experience in capital or capitalized maintenance projects.

o Management of project team meetings and action register

o Risk Management
o Regulatory and Stakeholder Management
o EHS considerations for projects
► Initiation, Planning, Executing, and Closing Projects – defining the project WBS,
Cost Baseline and OBS structure, initiating the project, building its
comprehensive work plan, controlling and managing to the risks, scope, schedule
and budget
► Managing Teams – facilitating commitment and productivity, removing obstacles,
and managing teams
► Good communications skills, both verbal and written across the RED-Rochester
technical support, operations and maintenance teams
► Skilled in the ability to manage contractors and vendors
► Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
► Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime and respond to off-hour call-ins.

Work Environment:
► Industrial and office environments.
► Must work at times in dirty and noisy areas.
